Who Are You Again?

Hey everybody! Long time, no blogging.

I'm going to try and blog on a regular basis again, except probably limit my weekly posting a little bit. With my school group doing insane projects and work eating up a good portion of my time, it's a bit more difficult keeping up with daily posts.

I'm also going for quality over quantity.

I hope that doesn't offend everyone whose a regular on this blog.

Oh, and remember to follow me on Bloglovin if you have an account there. Since that updates on a daily basis, you'll know when I'm posting exactly (especially if you receive their daily e-mail update). I suggest Bloglovin since sometimes it takes forever to find a post on a Google blogroll.

Thanks! <3

Apologies, My Dear

I apologize, first, for not blogging as much. My blog posts have been stretched out in patches of days due to writing in the new journal Ian bought my at Deseret Books not too long ago. ^.^;;;

I hope everyone has had a good Mardi Gras and Lunar New Year so far.

My Lunar New Year was more eventful than my Mardi Gras this year when compared side by side.

My Lunar New Year was mostly composed of dealing with Evelyn being way super fussy and going to Jeff Calahan's memorial.

I found it kind of weird that a memorial was held on the beginning of the Lunar New Year, but whatever. Luckily, this celebration was more cheerful than not. It was filled with food, laughter, arcade games, pinball challenges, and letter burnings. I am one of those people that believe that it's kind of bad luck to dwell on the dead when you're supposed to be celebrating life. To me, the Lunar New Year is way more important to me than the secular New Year celebrated on January first every year.

Ian, Logan, Einar, and I went to mostly support James, since he was really broken up by the whole thing. We were all convinced that Jeff went the way he did due to a combination of seasonal depression and being drunk at the same time. It was a major wake up call, especially when people only said that he was a rude person a good portion of his life. I honestly didn't remember him that way. He was always kind to me whenever I saw him.

On an ending note for that memorial, I really wish I took a picture of that outfit for that day. I looked fabulous. I might wear it again before the Lunar New Year period ends (it goes on for about fourteen more days, give or take, depending where you are). I also am going to save any rituals for the dead when the Lunar New Year time slot is over with, again, being highly superstitious.

Today, it was slightly productive, mostly painful, and bland.

Productive wise, Ian and I cleared out a bunch of the laundry baskets. Those had been on our to-do lists for awhile, especially with the closet being the way it is. Our closet is either going to be fixed by my father-in-law  or through several members of Ian's ward, so cleaning the room as best as we could is a must. I also was able to talk with J.R. about the tattoo payment. He plans on paying me once his medical bill gets paid.

Pain wise, several things happened today. Brace yourself for TMI. If you don't want to read this, then scroll down past this part. I woke up with my arms feeling like they were clotting. Due to sleeping the way I had been, I forgot to change out my Lunette Aine (the menstrual cup I use). I have a gut feeling that the clotting was due partially to both sleeping the way I was, and menstrual blood reversing its way back into my system (which is why I don't do reversals in yoga during this time!). I have been taking cinnamon filled capsules since the baby aspirin is expired. Ian's going to pick up some for me before he leaves work tomorrow morning.

Part two of pain deals with Evelyn. She took a nasty fall due to Keely (mother-in-laws's dog) tripping her near the entryway. When I heard a loud thud, my senses went into overdrive. I went into parenting panic mode. There was a lot of blood. I had to clean up the areas around her lip, which swelled a bunch, and around her nose, which she may have broken. I think some of her bottom teeth shifted around. Luckily, none of them were knocked of her mouth, and they also happen to be baby teeth. If she has a concussion, it's really minor, since she was able to sleep just fine, but I'm keeping an eye on her anyway. My mother-in-law retrieved some ice packs, and we iced Evelyn's head, lip, and nose for a good bit.

The food was mostly disappointing today. I wanted to have some Cajun food, but we didn't have the right ingredients. The most decadent things I had all day were some cinnamon rolls dad made for breakfast. Everything else was pretty much bland.

Oil Cleansing Method Results: Day Five

This is probably my last post in dealing with the Oil Cleansing Method, since I know that it works so well. I was going to make this a 30 day report, but then decided against it earlier this morning. I also happen to be late in posting results on it. >.>

Today, even more of the area around my T-zone cleared up.

I learned that this mixture saves my hands. If you're low on lotion, this combo is a life saver. I should know since I have somewhat of a seasonal eczema on my hands.

I have also noticed heavy improvements on the stretchmarks on my stomach. I proceeded to then apply this liberally around other areas of my body that were affected by pregnancy stretchmarks.

Oil Cleansing Method Results: Day Four

Seriously though-so far, so good.

Today, I noticed that any spots that seemed worse than others, oily wise, were toned down and evened out.

I can't recommend this method enough. I'm glad I took this risk. ^w^

For the best results if you want to start this, I suggest doing a Google search on the official Oil Cleansing Method site. I definitely  made things better personally by subbing out olive oil for sunflower oil since olive oil is a Benefit for me BTD wise.

"Learning Creative Learning"

Ever since I found out about the latest course offered up for free from MIT online the other day, I've been hooked on wanting to learn about it.

The course is called Learning Creative Learning.

I think this course will heavily help me in what I work on a daily basis, along with helping me plan homeschooling lessons for Evelyn.

What I love most about this course so far is the fact that there's a Google+ specific community for it. The people in the group vary from all different parts of the world, and are way super friendly. I hope to make lifelong friends and penpals with whomever I'm paired up with. ^w^

You can also learn at your own pace. Knowing this will make things easier on me, especially with Evelyn being super fussy these last few days.

For more information about this course, go here.

P.S. If you want to be in my group, my code is: 10011 It would be awesome to see some of my Countdown   To Halloween and Creepmas buddies in my group. :D

P.P.S. Signups close by tomorrow (2/8/2013). If you want to signup, you better signup fast! Such short notice, I know. This class invitation didn't seem to be open for very long. D:

Oil Cleansing Method Results: Day Three

(Yet another post that was sent to the drafts. I really shouldn't post from my phone. >.> )

My face is still reacting positively to this method of cleaning my face.

My face is evening out quite a bit. A lot of sun spots and acne scars are disappearing at a rapid rate. Crows feet that accidentally happened due to brushes being harsh around my eyes are going away. The laugh lines around my mouth are diminishing. The results are quite youthful.

My face is really glowing at this point. I love how when the oil concoction is washed off that it leaves a dewy finish without any sort of makeup.

The other day, I put this combo on my stomach, to see how the stretchmarks from pregnancy would disappear. I have tried other methods, without any results. I had hoped that since olive oil is a Benefit for me that this oil mix would work.

I was right. I'm hoping with keeping up with yoga and this cleansing method that I can wipe out any sort of pregnancy marks around my whole body. ^w^

Happy Free Pancake Day!

(Another post that was randomly sent to the drafts for no apparent reason... >.> Free Pancake Day was the other day, so I would advise you to NOT go over to your nearest IHOP [if applicable] if you wanted free pancakes!)

Ian, Evelyn, and I decided to hit up the nearby IHOP for Free Pancake Day.

Ever since I dated Ian, Free Pancake Day has basically been a tradition that we try to swing every year, save for the couple of years that we were refused service for lack of pancake batter used for the event.

For the most part, I think going over to IHOP was needed, with how screechy Evelyn was the other day. I honestly don't get why she likes to screech, but it drives everybody around her crazy. I really hope she didn't pick up that nasty habit from Kira. :/

Anywho, with food in our bellies, everyone was a little bit happier.

We also donated quite a bit to the Children's Miracle Network. ^w^

If you live in the U.S. and have an IHOP near you, did you participate in Free Pancake Day? If so, how was your experience?

Oil Cleansing Method Results: Day Two

(This was randomly sent to the drafts, so I'm posting this up now.)

Just keeping everyone posted with what's happening.

So far, it's still working like a charm!

My face is clearing up rapidly. ^w^

Oil Cleansing Method Results: Day One

I finally decided to give the oil cleansing method a try with my usual face cleanser nearly out.

Seriously, what a difference!

Instead of sunflower and castor oil, I'm using olive and castor oil. I'm trying to use a Beneficial instead of an Avoid, being a B+ blood type and all.

I'm going to use this method again before I shower later on; I'll try using it twice today with having problem skin.

Hopefully, I can clear my face by the end of the week!

Verdict so far: Unnatural cleansers < Natural cleansers by far. ^w^

The Darkest Minds Review

I seem to be asked to do a lot of reviews lately, so I'm willing to comply. I love being able to test and review things out.

That being said, if anyone wants to send me something to review, please do so! ^w^

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Overall rating: 9.5 out of 10

I have to say that I really enjoyed this book. I have read my fair share of dystopian novels, and have to rate this book as one of my all-time top favorites.

What I loved: A strong female character as the main lead, well written side characters, psychic powers, a strong ending that makes me excited to see the next part of the series

What I didn't like: Rapey villain, adult organizations playing major mind games, and having to wait for the next book!

I don't want to spoil this book so much because I really loved it. To see a bit more of what is initially revealed by the author, go here...

Making Amends

After all this time, both of us wanted to be friends again.

You can't believe how happy I am about this. I'm actually crying happy tears while I type this.

I can't wait to see my friend after the Super Bowl today.
